Registrar of the Year Recognition Program

The Registrar of the Year Recognition Program is the premier awards initiative of The Registrars Alliance (TRA), established to celebrate excellence, leadership, innovation, and service within the registrar profession. The program honors professionals whose dedication, integrity, and commitment have made a meaningful impact on students, families, educational institutions, and the advancement of the profession. Each year, distinguished registrars from across the nation are recognized during the TRA Annual Conference and Awards Gala. 

The program exists to elevate the visibility of the registrar profession, recognize outstanding achievement, promote professional excellence, inspire future leaders, and showcase the critical role registrars play in educational success.

National Registrar of the Year Award

The National Registrar of the Year Award is the highest annual professional recognition presented by The Registrars Alliance. This prestigious honor recognizes an exceptional registrar who demonstrates excellence in student records management, regulatory compliance, data integrity, customer service, leadership, and organizational effectiveness. Recipients are distinguished professionals whose work positively impacts students, families, colleagues, and educational institutions while advancing the standards and reputation of the registrar profession nationwide. 

Emerging Registrar of the Year Award

The Emerging Registrar of the Year Award recognizes rising professionals who have demonstrated outstanding performance, leadership potential, innovation, and commitment to excellence during the early years of their registrar careers. This award celebrates individuals who show exceptional promise as future leaders and who have already made meaningful contributions to their schools, students, colleagues, and communities. Through their dedication to professional growth and continuous improvement, these emerging professionals represent the future of the registrar profession.

Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor bestowed by The Registrars Alliance. This distinguished recognition honors an individual whose career has significantly advanced the registrar profession through exceptional service, visionary leadership, mentorship, innovation, advocacy, and long-term professional contributions. Recipients have dedicated decades to educational excellence and have helped shape the future of the profession through their influence, achievements, and commitment to developing the next generation of registrar leaders. Lifetime Achievement recipients are permanently inducted into the TRA Hall of Excellence as a lasting tribute to their extraordinary impact and legacy.

TRA Hall of Excellence

The TRA Hall of Excellence serves as a permanent recognition platform honoring individuals whose extraordinary service, leadership, and professional contributions have elevated the registrar profession. Inductees represent the highest standards of excellence and serve as an enduring source of inspiration for current and future professionals. Through this distinguished recognition, The Registrars Alliance preserves the legacy of those who have made a lasting impact on educational institutions, students, and the profession as a whole.

In order to be considered for the recognition program, the registrar MUST pay the annual conference fee and plan to attend.  The annual conference fee is $399.99.  If members register and pay the Preconference fee when joining, they can attend the conference for only $99.99…a 75% discount.
